Who inspired you to be a priest?
While alive, my Grandma McCarthy was incredibly supportive and prayerful regarding my vocation. Priests such as Fr. Tony Russo, Fr. Danny Orris, Fr. Stephen Durkee, and Fr. Dominic Couturier have also been very inspirational. However, the Most Blessed Trinity has inspired me the most in my life, and it is because of God Himself that I’m where I am today.
Why do you want to be a priest?
I have fallen in love with the person of Jesus Christ. I’ve encountered Him in the Sacraments of the Church, most especially in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, and because of that, I want to serve Him and do His Will.
What do you love most about the seminary?
The brotherhood. I’ve met so many amazing men from all over the country who are now my brothers. The friendships that are made are very profound and formative. The seminary takes boys who love the Lord and turns them into men and Soldiers of the Cross!
What are you most grateful for?
I’m most grateful for God Himself, He created everything and continually preserves His Creation. He suffered, died, rose, and ascended out of undying and everlasting love for each of us. He has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember and has become my closest friend.
