Who inspired you to be a priest?
I was inspired to be a priest by Father Mike Schmitz. Listening to his podcasts and hearing his story helped me to fall in deeper love with Jesus and the Catholic Faith. I was also inspired by Father Dominic Couturier. He gave me a lot of encouragement to answer the call by telling me to go to seminary to see if priesthood is what God has planned for my life.

Why do you want to be a priest?
I want to be a priest to help bring the good news to the world. I want to help mend broken wounds, reunite broken families, serve young adults, and be a part of people’s faith journeys no matter where they are at.

What do you look forward to most in the seminary?
I am most looking forward to learning other seminarians’ vocations stories, hearing about their personal triumphs and tribulations, and what led them to where they are now. I am also excited about diving deep into scripture, learning more about God and His divine plan for the world.

What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for my time spent studying in Rome, my junior year of college. While there, I made friends with a strong group of young Catholic men and women who were on fire for their faith. They showed me that living a Catholic lifestyle can be practical, fun, and rewarding, encouraging me to live my life for God.
